This final Key Idea looks at Napoleon and his rule, how far he continued in a royal or a revolutionary tradition. His rule as a Consul and then as an Emperor, and the further reforms he introduced, and the Revolutionary ideas he quelled. Again the importance of tackling economic weaknesses and mismanagement cannot be underestimated. Lastly the legacy of Napoleon’s transformation of France is the last question we will answer before Revision.
